Success of the potato farmer- English Stories

Success of the farmer:-

Once upon a time in a village named Narayanpur there lived a potato farmer whose name is Hariya. Hariya is very hardworking. But he has very little land. So he do the labour work of other big farmers and earn his livelihood. He is also very poor. He is very honest and a good person. Even when he don't have a lot of money he helped people who are in need. Hariya's wife Purna is also very good and she always obey her husband and help him in his work.

Due to his hardworking and good behaviour one of his friend named Dhaniya is very jealous of him. Dhaniya is also a labour but he is not hardworking as Hariya. Dhaniya is also very lazy. He is nor honest and neither a good person. 

Due to Hariya's goodness and helping nature he Is very famous in his village. One day Dhaniya decided to play a game on Hariya. It was the month of January when the crop of potatoes is growing and that year Hariya's crop is in very good condition and he was very happy. Dhaniya went to Hariya's farm and spread a pesticide which damaged Hariya's crops. The next day when Hariya went to his farm he was shocked that suddenly what had happened to his potato plants. He is thinking that In one night how could all the crops get damaged, but he can't do anything now. He is very upset and came to home and didn't even eat anything. His wife Purna asked him that what had happened but he didn't tell her anything. But Purna asks her repeatedly, and then at last he told her everything which he saw in the farm. After listening to him, Purna was also upset.

Days passed and one  day on February, Hariya met to a man named Mahendra, whom he had helped when the man needed it. Mahendra called Hariya on the market but Hariya couldn't recognize him but when Mahendra tells about himself to Hariya then Hariya recalled him. Mahendra had come to India one and a half year ago and was in need of money and he helped him. Now Mahendra had returned from America. One and a half year ago he was in need of money to get a ticket to America where he had his business and family. He also told Dhaniya that he had lost his bag in India and that bag has all the money he had. At that time Hariya only helped him. He asked Hariya to come and  work for him in America and that he would get good amount of money in America. 

Hariya first disagrees. Then Mahendra asked him to take the money back which he had given to him and he also gave him a bag which he asked him to only open at home. Hariya brought that money and that bag to home. Purna saw her husband with some money and asks about it. Hariya told everything to Purna. Hariya also told Purna that Mahendra is a very good person. And also that he had returned to India to thank Hariya. Then he also told Purna about the bag.

Both of them opened the bag and both of them were surprised after seeing inside the bag. They saw that the bag is full of diamonds and there is also a letter in the bag . Hariya read the letter and it said that Mahendra was having the business of diamonds and he had sent them to help Hariya and remove his poverty. With all the money he got by selling those diamonds he started a big business of potatoes and in this way the goodness of Hariya helped him to become successful.

Moral of the story is that we should always do hardwork and we should be honest. If we are good and helping then even god help us in bad times.
